The child in you...
As an adult we always say that our childhood has gone and then we go to the memory lane and live that time again. But what I want to say that childhood surely goes with the time but not the child in you. It remains within you, always.
As we grow, we learn to inhibit our childish behaviour to the extent of our age. Sometimes we inhibit it due to our elders’ pressure and sometimes to avoid annoyance by people. But it is a bit natural that what is lie within you will come out now and then in various other ways.
Surely, you have noticed it that when we are among the children we behave like them and play quite naturally and easily with them. A child doesn’t change his behaviour according to the person he is interacting with. He shows his same natural behaviour to everyone, whether the person is elder or younger to him. But as we become older we learn to behave differently with different person and here our mind plays the major role. We call it maturity […with respect].
We don’t notice that we are lacking emotional release which is quite natural and necessary to soothe our mind and for inner peace. During our childhood we used to laugh and cry by very simple reasons but as an adult, when we want to cry, we don’t and when we want to laugh, we simply smile. For an adult, to cry is taken as a part of weak personality, especially for men.
This constant suppression of emotions leads to some other psychological problems like anxiety, depression etc. Nowadays, we are seeing that “laughing clubs” are becoming popular among adults and over-aged people in various societies. It is the outcome of our mechanical life. Here people deliberately laughs together without any reason. But in real life, when they have reasons to do so, they hesitates.
yeah..sometimes we could not resist to show our childish behaviour, especially when we are among the friends and also with our parents. The reason, perhaps, “to err is human” [… laughs].
so, if we try to make our life less mechanical and let allow the child in us to come out time to time, we would be able to make our life more interesting and lively.
